The state of Alabama does NOT require a referral for an initial evaluation.  If an evaluation is performed and it is determined that physical therapy is needed, you will have 30 days before a referral is needed. A referral can come from your Doctor, Dentist, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or Chiropractor.  Contacting your provider and having a referral before the evaluation will prevent an interruption in care.  ​*Note: a referral is NOT required for cash pay or wellness services.

We are in-network with Blue Cross and Blue Shield Insurance and Medicare.  Benefits will be verified prior to your first appointment. Patients are responsible for the remainder of what insurance does not pay. Co-pays, where applicable, will be collected at every appointment.  Submitting billing to BCBS does not guarantee payment. Litton PT and Wellness is out of network with all other insurance companies. Your insurance company may have out of network physical therapy benefits which may reimburse for these services, some up to 80%.  For out of network services, full payment is due at the time of service. Health Savings Accounts (HSA) are accepted.

Whatever makes you comfortable! In the case of neck/shoulder pain, a scoop neck shirt or tank top undershirt will allow better access to all the neck and mid-back musculature.  A pair of shorts for hip/knee problems will allow better access to the lower leg

All cancellations must be made by 5pm the day prior to your scheduled appointment. Any no -shows or cancellations made after this time frame will result in a $50 charge to the card on file. *Frequent cancellations and/or missed appointments will result in termination of treatment.

The only exception to this cancellation policy is in the event of a serious or contagious illness or emergency. Some examples of emergencies are car accidents, deaths in the family or extreme illness. Work issues do not constitute as emergencies. This cancellation policy applies even if missing the appointment was an unintentional act.

Litton PT and Wellness is currently in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance and Medicare. Co-pays/remaining deductibles are due at the time of service. Insurance will be billed directly after each session. The patient is responsible for the balance that insurance does not cover.
